Tilton School

Embracing the Future Since 1845 Since the founding of Tilton School in 1845, we have pursued our mission: challenge students to embrace and navigate a world driven by diversity and change. So how do we do it? By fueling curiosity, igniting passions, and fostering a love for learning that allows teenagers to realize the power of their own potential. We believe that deep and meaningful relationships with teachers bring out students’ very best.

As a school, we arm students with the skills to reason, to solve problems, to collaborate, and to invent the future. We call our curriculum The Mastery Approach, and its a potent combination of Essential Skills, Self-Discovery, and clear and supportive Guidance.

Tilton School, located in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire, is an independent college preparatory school for all genders. Tilton’s campus has over 38 buildings, spread over approximately 150 acres. Tilton’s student body of 200+ hails from 20 states and 15 foreign countries.

Although the Tilton experience is different for every student, if you’re looking for a New Hampshire prep school, our unique approach challenges all students to try new things, learn new skills, and set new goals.
