Alzar offers semester away prorgams for sophomores and juniors in high school and gap year programs for ages 18-22. We have campuses in Idaho and Patagonia, Chile where all of our programs spend time. We focus on leadership development.

Maine Coast Semester takes students out of the traditional classroom & into an experiential learning environment. Our program includes backcountry adventures, science field labs, & daily lessons in sustainable living.

The Island School brings together students from pre-K through Ph.D., and world-renowned researchers to create transformational learning experiences. By connecting primary research to education and outreach, we create unique opportunities for students

Since 1995, over 1300 high school students have come to OA's 182-acre campus to spend an academic semester away. Our place-based curriculum is filled with outdoor adventures, environmental studies, creative arts, and intentional community living.

The Oxbow School is a single-semester art and academically focused boarding school for high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and gap-year students in beautiful Napa, CA. Oxbow also offers a 6-week residential Summer Art Institute each year.

The Traveling School (TTS) is a place-based high school semester program for girls and non-binary students ages 15-18 that travels through southern Africa, South America, or the western US.
